Alpine Advent Sarntal Valley - quiet moments
20 beautifully decorated wooden booths offer unique and traditional hand-crafted wares, made by local people. Amongst other things, these wares are made of wood, leather, wool or Sarntal mountain pine. Visitors can also buy local honey and cheeses. The market also includes various food and drinks booths, where visitors can try home-made “Krapfen” (doughnuts), “Striezel” (sweet plaited bread), rye bread and more... A variety of bands and choirs provides background Christmas music, and there is also a live workshop and an extensive programme of events for children.

„Klöckeln“ an old Advent custom
The festivity „Klöckeln“ is an old Advent custom in the Val Sarentino/Sarntal Valley. Is celebrated on Thursdays in the evening before Christmas.

A Trip to Bolzano Christmas Market
Bolzano Christmas Market is, together with the market in Brixen, the oldest in South Tyrol, having first been held in 1991. Since then each year it has attracted thousands of visitors from near and far every day from the end of November until Twelfth Night (except Christmas Day). The city of Bolzano has held on to the tried and tested since the very first market almost three decades ago: 80 local exhibitors and select local produce all accompanied by excellent musical entertainment. A recipe that always goes down well.
